National crafting fundraiser will support thousands with mental health problems

Published 29th November 2016

Mind, the mental health charity, is encouraging everyone across England and Wales to organise ‘Crafternoon’ - a day full of creative fun for the entire family in an effort to raise funds for a good cause.

The charity’s aim is to set our mind at ease by engaging in various creative activities designed to restore a sense of peace and serenity back into our lives. As well as supporting those one in four people who live with a mental health problem each year, this fundraising idea is designed to help families enjoy some vital quality time together. The event will entail a series of fun-filled activities such as needlework, knitting and bauble making – activities which are proven to have a therapeutic effect on our minds by enabling us to switch off from daily pressures and simply create.

Burke Niazi specialises in mental health law and we understand the ongoing struggles faced by mental health patients. Whether you are at school or a workplace, why not organise ‘Crafternoon’ – an event that is sure to improve your mental wellbeing while supporting Mind and their life changing work.
