Noteworthy Family Law case to be transferred to Hungary

Hasan Hadi, a solicitor in our Family Law department, represented a party in the case of Re J (A Child: Brussels II Revised: Article 15: Practice and Procedure) [2014] EWFC 41 (Fam)

At the final hearing Mrs Justice Pauffley held that the case should be transferred to Hungary for the following reasons:

• The child has a particular connection with Hungary;
• Hungarian Courts are better placed to determine the issues;
• A transfer of the proceedings would be in the child’s best interests.
