Anna Christodoulou

Solicitor

Anna joined the firm in September 2019 as a Legal Receptionist shortly after completing her MSc degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Durham University. She later on became a Paralegal and began working in our Mental Health Department. She has been a member of The Law Society Mental Health Accreditation Scheme since April 2021 and continues to represent clients at Mental Health Tribunals and Hospital Managers Hearings. She thoroughly enjoys representing clients detained under forensic sections although she is equally experienced in dealing with clients under civil sections.

During her training contract, Anna was able to spend some more time in our Mental Health Department before moving on to gaining experience in our Court of Protection Department. She spent her time in our Court of Protection Department assisting colleagues to represent vulnerable adults in welfare cases involving deprivation of liberty, care and residence. Anna also has a growing interest in housing law. She joined our Housing Department in the last few months of her training contract and she continues to develop her knowledge and experience in this area.

Anna completed her LPC in 2022 (awarded Distinction) by attending the course on a part-time basis while working here at our firm full-time. She has since qualified as a Solicitor and maintains her own workload in all three departments she has trained in.

Anna finds great enjoyment in taking on cases requiring lateral thinking and complex legal analysis and is passionate about her clients. She firmly believes that clients, especially clients lacking capacity or suffering mental distress, do not necessarily care how much you know until they know how much you care.

In her spare time, Anna is a keep-fit-enthusiast and enjoys travelling and learning new languages.
