Lina specialises in all aspects of family law including divorce and matrimonial finance involving cases ranging from high net worth financial settlements to medium and low value. She has advised in complex financial matters involving businesses, international assets necessitating freezing orders, pensions and bankruptcy. Lina is committed to adhering to Resolution values with a conciliatory approach for the client’s benefit but is not afraid to fight where necessary in order to achieve the best possible result for the client. She also advises cohabitees and civil partners on all aspects of relationship breakdown and the financial disputes that may arise as a result.
Lina also has an interest and expertise in representing parents within complex care and placement proceedings in all levels of court up to and including the Court of Appeal. She has extensive experience of cases involving a wide range of child protection concerns including serious non accidental injuries, inappropriate physical chastisement, sexual abuse, parental drug and alcohol use, children with particularly complex needs such as transgender issues and alleged religious extremism or where children are thought to be at risk of radicalisation.
Where possible and when appropriate Lina undertakes her own advocacy, taking the view that having the solicitor with conduct and full knowledge of a case at court during hearings can often be helpful and reassuring to clients at what will always be a particularly difficult time and assists in achieving the best possible outcome for the client.
Lina also has substantial experience in dealing with a wide variety of private children law matters including where children should live and the time spent with each parent as well as relocation cases. Lina is a ‘Recommended Lawyer’ in the London edition of the Legal 500 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
